For fifty years, Jim has cultivated his ‘photographer’s eye,’ searching for striking combinations of lighting, form and color.
He shoots broad landscapes and small details; vivid colors and shades of black and white; his familiar home turf and new far-away lands.
Dividing his time between Westport MA and northern Vermont, he finds inspiration in both regions.
Vacations spanning four continents have offered diverse possibilities to explore creations of both Nature and Man.
He tries to capture the moment directly, and does a minimum of digital manipulation.
