Cecilia's work has been described as both expressive and lyrical. Her sculpture is inspired by both human and animal forms and viewers often comment that her pieces have a personality of their own. Her 3-dimensional work involves an extensive list of materials and methods including limited editions cast from original carvings which make her work affordable for all. Of late, she is exploring bold values in stained glass and pastel work involving local scenes and ocean themes. She is “carving out the negative space” in her pastels as she transitions to a lighter touch with 2-dimensional work. She has been an exhibiting member of the Providence Art Club since 2021 and has won two awards there.
