Diana Azevedo-Carns is a mixed media artist, with painting and printmaking in various media. Her abstract imagery exhibits a strong relationship to the natural world. Variations of natural rhythms and patterns provide a basis for color exploration using abstract and representational imagery. She is inspired by the challenge of creating art using mixed media and techniques in a kind of counterpoint. Diana Azevedo-Carns holds an MFA from UMass Dartmouth and a Doctorate in Educational Media and from Boston University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is in private and public collections.
