My paintings are musings of a grumpy old man, always struggling, learning to paint, intensely fond of women (especially Betsy), children, dogs, cats, and the saltmarsh, woods, lakes, and mountains. As time scythes ever closer at my hurrying heels, I seek to touch the mystery beyond the seen, and the universe in a rotting stump. If I hold your attention for a moment, I have done my job with daubs of color on a board.
