Judy Melanson's oil paintings capture the beauty that surrounds us, our landscape, seaside, sunsets, and friends and families. She uses a limited palette to ensure her paintings are cohesive and easy on the eye, and strives to simplify shapes to let the viewer's brain connect the dots. Fellow artists have described her paintings as Calm, Warm, Peaceful, Home.
In addition to painting Plein Air on the South Coast, Judy enjoys capturing scenes from her travels to Maine's coast, Tuscany and other adventures.
Judy won the Sponsor's Choice award in the New Perspectives Judged show at Westport Art Group.
Judy is on the Board of the South Coast Artists and a member of the Westport Art Group.
