Kat Knutsen is a classically trained painter who studied at University of North Carolina at Asheville, and continued her her studies at the Florence Academy of Art. She continued her research into the animation field and worked on the film 'Loving Vincent'. She has a studio at the Kilburn Mills in New Bedford, MA, where she regularly hosts Anatomical Artistry life drawing and painting sessions. Stylistically her work is a surrealistic mix of Pontormo, MC Escher, and David Hockney.
