Kevin Garbarini
Kevin Garbarini is a local RI artist who enjoys pastel medium for its’ pure color and closeness to the natural dry pigment and also enjoys mixing color with his acrylic painting. Amazed by the natural beauty of Southern New England and grateful to live in such an inspiring place where he can create pieces that try to capture this landscape. “I usually know right away when I see an interesting location or structure that I want to try to enhance the feeling of where I was at that time in my painting.” He's interested in composition and how our eye moves through a piece, bringing out color, thinking about value and shifts in temperature and where the light source comes from in his work. This is Kevin’s fourth year as Events Chair on the Board of Directors and also has been on the installation team for SCA Member Exhibitions.
