Mosaics inspired by the mysteries of nature
Lauren Renée Quinn has a BA in Ceramic Art from Penn State, spent her junior year abroad at Tyler School of Art in Rome, Italy. In Ravenna, Italy she completed a mosaic course at the Mosaic Art School. Having lived in Italy, she was impressed by how the Italians enjoy art in their everyday life such as having lunch on Trevi fountain or sipping cappuccino at cafe table sitting on an 800 year old marble mosaic. In 1998 she started Custom Mosaic Design.
Custom Mosaic Design specializes in mosaics made from marble, granite, handmade clay tiles, stained glass, fused glass and smalti. Lauren has created mosaic floors, kitchen backsplashes, pools, mirror frames, furniture and works of art. Lauren has her mosaics installed in residences and commercial buildings in Hawaii, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Washington. In addition she also creates handmade tiles for framing or installation, fused glass jewelry and wind chimes.
