Mimi Pantuhova is an abstract painter who has a BFA and an MPS in art therapy. She has a doctorate in clinical psychology and has worked as a child and adult therapist for over 40 years. Her subject matter is influenced by the trauma she has witnessed in children and families over the years. She is also inspired by nature and her family life including family scenes, beach fun, and the ponds and waterfalls in New England. Mimi paints from photos, memory, her imagination and from life. She uses oil, acrylic, charcoal and found objects. Mimi's figurative paintings try to capture emotion. Her landscape paintings try to capture color, movement and her delight in nature.
