Monica is a local South Coast Artist. Born and raised in Little Compton, RI. She has been interested in painting for a long time. For training, she has taken lessons in color theory, but is largely a self taught artist. She draws inspiration from Steve Lyons, Anne Packard, Igor Sakharov and of course Bob Ross. She is inspired by coastal landscapes, nature and seascapes. She loves to observe the constantly changing colors of the sky and water. When engaged in her work, she detached herself from the distractions of everyday life and is able to engross herself in her work, creating both imagery and sculptures with paint is her passion.
