I am the son of two artists. I've made art on and off most of my life. In the last few years I began to take painting more seriously. I built a studio in my back yard and paint most days. My work is abstract using acrylic paint. I am drawn to making marks of texture and color. I often start paintings from a dream or visual patterns I see in the world or my minds eye, or I just approach the canvas and begin.
