Vania Noverça
Vania Noverça, AKA, Vania Noverça-Viveiros, is a local Artist born in the Steep Brook section of Fall River, MA. She is an Oil Painter and Sculptor who is inspired mostly by nature and the human figure; she considers herself a realist with a captivating contemporary flare. Her work is vibrant in color representing the vivid colors and form that can be found in nature. She is intrigued by the human figure in its expressive state; she enjoys capturing and conveying the emotions of her subjects within her drawings, paintings and sculptures sharing her experiences with her viewers! Her "Artist Statement" best describes her interpretive thoughts of being an Artist and should be considered if one seeks to know her!
“As an artist one is often asked to provide a biography and an artist statement when invited to a gallery or show, I truly understand the intent; however I must admit that I personally feel that in order to know an Artist one must learn who we are through our reflections and look beyond our shadows. Who, what, when and why, how are we inspired; each and every creation is a mere reflection of these entire things collectively. Our perception of another’s interpretation can sometimes be misconstrued, we must not limit ourselves, study, be inquisitive, engage with one another; only then will we learn who we are beyond the shadows we cast. Art is an expression of one self and must be shared with others.” — Vania Noverça-Viveiros
